John: After spending almost two weeks in DC at New Member Orientation last month, I’m excited to be home – but even more excited to get to work for Vermont in just a few short weeks! Here are a few of my favorite moments from the past couple of weeks in Washington:

First, getting to meet, share ideas, and spend time with some of my new freshman colleagues has been amazing! Greg Casar, Delia Ramirez, Max Frost, Summer Lee, and Jasmine Crockett are all like-minded freshmen who I’m pumped to have the opportunity to serve beside.

Then, getting to chat with Senator Elizabeth Warren and give her a HUGE hug of thanks for supporting me in my race. Her fierce advocacy for America’s middle class has been inspirational to me, and I’m excited to collaborate with her in the months and years ahead.

Watching my friend Robert Garcia be elected as freshman class president was awesome!

Joining Speaker Pelosi on the floor of the House was surreal. She is a giant. I am so honored to get to serve with her.

And last but not least!! Always great to see our (soon to be!) senior senator from VT!

I am BUZZING with excitement to be sworn in as Vermont’s first Congresswoman next month! With courage and kindness guiding the way, we are going to do some incredible things in Washington. Stay tuned.

Thanks,

Becca
