Dear John, Well, we did it. We stayed on the path no matter the obstacles right-wing cranks, Republican operatives, an enabling mainstream media, an oft-vapid culture, corrupt judges and foreign adversaries put in our way. Last night we--YOU--re-elected Senator Raphael Warnock, gaining a crucial seat for Democrats. So that we put this in historical perspective, this was the first time a President didn't lose a Senate seat during their first term since Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1934. Incredible. And we did this while billionaire weirdos like Peter Thiel were sending tens of millions of dollars into states to elect their vassal candidates, buying Twitter to tweet out crazy-uncle-at-Thanksgiving conspiracy theories and generally do all they could to stop us. But this list, this community, stepped up and donated over $480,000 to Democratic candidates and other progressive organizations to make this happen. WOW. Why did Democrats sweep everything in states like Michigan and Minnesota? Run the table on statewide races in states like Pennsylvania and Arizona? Hold onto and/or win multiple swing congressional seats in states like Virginia and Ohio? Stay within a few seats in the House so we might have a say in who's chosen as Speaker? That was because you guys--grassroots Democrats--realized what was at stake, had enough of being bullied by a minority and bucked history. I've rarely been a part of something so amazing. So I just want to take a moment to thank every one of you. To remind you that everyone makes a difference, and, collectively, nobody can stop us. We'll be in touch--albeit a bit less often--as the holidays approach, but I wanted to take this opportunity to say Happy Holidays! And, again, Thank You! My two boys are being raised in this country, and I feel a lot more hopeful about that fact than I did just a few months ago. Enjoy your holidays and take a bow. You earned it!
