It’s a good day to be a progressive and a bad day to be Joe Manchin. Not only did we clinch the 51st Senate vote to end the Manchin administration, we also won Round 2 against his dirty deal to fast-track fossil fuels and hurt frontline communities.

In Georgia, we zeroed in on our more than 150,000 Our Revolution Georgia members and made over half a million voter contacts through text, phone calls, and other outreach.

We proved, once again, that when we organize, we win. This election came down to voter mobilization, and our one-on-one conversations with young, progressive, independent, and working-class voters helped lift Senator Warnock to victory.

Our organizers and volunteers spoke to many Georgians of all backgrounds who would not have voted without our outreach. Many were confused about the runoff, and others reported negative feelings toward the Democratic Party.

Still, our callers helped persuade them to cast a ballot by contrasting Sen. Warnock and Walker. Folks were moved by the need for a 51st Senate vote to diminish the power of Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.

One Our Revolution phone banker, Paulina, spoke to a young man who wanted to vote but was shocked to learn his polling location had changed and was grateful for the call. Organizing is the antidote to voter suppression.

These are the votes that Democrats cannot afford to let slip through the cracks, and voters deserve the extra effort it takes to ensure they're empowered with the information they need to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
