After narrowly losing the House Majority this year, it’s going to take all of us stepping up over the next two years to regain the majority.

And the path to the majority runs through New York, where we narrowly lost several critical toss-up seats. In fact, Pat was the only Democrat to win a toss-up race in the entire state.

Why? Because Pat’s message resonated with voters. Through ads, volunteer conversations, yard signs, events, and emails like these, we stuck with the same talking points that showed voters what Pat stands for and how he’s going to fight for them every day in Washington.

There’s a lot of work to do between now and Election Day in 2024 — and it’s never too early to get started on our efforts to flip the House back to Democrats. Chip in to our work to build a strong Democratic coalition in New York!

A recent Times Union article highlighted that New York Republicans turned out in higher percentages than Democrats in the 2022 election cycle — so even with higher numbers of registered Democrats in many of these NY toss-up districts, we still lost critical races because they weren’t inspired to show up to vote.

The work starts today. Democrats need to start talking to these voters now. We need to excite voters with our ideas, and we need to remind voters of the stakes of our elections.

Pat won the messaging game twice in back-to-back toss-up races, and he’s going to work hard to spread that message across New York for the next two years.
