Temperatures this week are dropping below freezing—and dogs left outside in the cold urgently need our help to survive. That's why TODAY ONLY a concerned PETA donor will match every gift—up to our $3,000 goal—to give as many dogs as we can a sturdy doghouse that will help them make it through the rest of the winter. Please, donate right now and help us reach a lonely "backyard dog" before it's too late. Together, we can make the lives of 38 dogs a little less miserable this winter—but ONLY if we reach our goal before midnight tonight. |

Dear Friend, Every dog deserves a safe home, a warm bed to curl up on, and a caring family who loves them. Every dog deserves this—but not all of them are fortunate enough to have it. This winter, neglected dogs kept chained or penned outdoors will suffer—shivering and wet—trying to survive the freezing rain, wind, and snow with little (if anything) to protect them from the elements. Without your help, many may not make it through the bone-chilling nights to come. It's disturbing to know that some owners force dogs to live outside in torrential rain, bone-chilling snow, and temperatures so cold that they can be deadly—but our fieldworkers encounter dogs in urgent need every single day. They're often chained to trees with nothing more than an overturned barrel or trash can to serve as a poor excuse for "shelter"—if they have anything at all. They're left in inches of mud, without fresh food or even clean water to drink. PETA's doghouse sponsorship program has supplied more than 7,200 doghouses to dogs in desperate need of shelter during the frigid winter months. Our doghouses are sturdy and durable, offering some protection from extreme winter cold and scorching summer heat. We deliver each one with treats, a toy, and straw for extra insulation against the cold. You can help improve a dog's life right now. Pitch in today and you'll help rush urgently needed care and shelter to dogs at risk in the freezing cold this winter—even $3 is enough to help.
