AS WE SPEAK, the Supreme Court is holding a hearing on the Moore v. Harper case. The outcome of this case could have an apocalyptic impact on our Democracy. We need to fight back immediately by electing Democratic Secretaries of State nationwide. It’s the only way to protect our freedom to vote. Starting TODAY, the Supreme Court is holding arguments on the Moore v. Harper case. Make no mistake, John: this case poses a clear and present danger to our democracy.

Why? If SCOTUS rules in favor of the state legislatures, which they’re anticipated to do, then partisan, gerrymandered state legislatures will have complete control over running elections in their states.

AND IF state legislatures have complete control over their elections, the checks and balances of the governor and state courts will no longer apply. Republican state legislatures will be able to gerrymander with impunity.

They will be able to throw out or invalidate votes that go for the candidate that they don’t want to win.

The ONLY way to defend our elections from extremist Republicans is to elect Democratic Secretaries of State. They are the LAST line of defense in our elections.
