Federal funding for elections over the past two decades has been woefully insufficient. We haven't passed adequate election funding legislation since 2002 in response to the election chaos displayed in 2000. Although there have been occasional grants since then, they don't come close to covering the increasing costs required to run a smooth and successful election today.

If we hope to keep the integrity of elections intact, we need better and more reliable funding. The 2024 election is right around the corner, and Republicans are working overtime to make voting as difficult as possible. Now is the time to ensure our elections are properly funded so election deniers don't get the chance to upset our election system further.
