Only 2 More: Reach Out to Your Representative Today
Dear John,
This week, we’re asking for your support to help us get two more cosponsors on the LIFT the BAR Act before the end of this year. We’re also sharing partner resources on access to healthcare. Read on to learn more.
Take Action! Help us get to 100 House cosponsors on the LIFT the BAR Act (HR5277)
Currently 98 members of the U.S. House of Representatives have signed on to the LIFT the BAR Act, which restores access to programs like Medicaid, CHIP, and SNAP, by removing the five-year bar and other barriers that deny critical care and aid to people who are lawfully present.
PIF is making one last push to get to 100 cosponsors this year. This shows strong support for the bill and will help with re-introduction in the new Congress next year. We are just two members away–and the more the merrier!
First, check to see who from your state House delegation has already signed on to the LIFT the BAR Act. Here is the current list [[link removed]] of cosponsors.
Then send an email to your representatives’ offices who have not yet signed! It’s fast, easy and an impactful way to make a real difference. Email Lena O'Rourke at [email protected] [[email protected]] if you need an email template.
