Our next General Membership Meeting is next Tuesday! During this event we’ll be discussing and voting on what we should use our members’ collective resources on in the coming months. Even if you are a new member and aren’t sure about how to vote, PLEASE COME — we need the voice of ​all ​members, not just people who have been around for a while!

Seattle DSA is committed to playing a much bigger role in 2023. But to do this, we need to be better organized and have a bigger megaphone to reach our supporters and the broader working class.  

In October our chapter voted to hire two part-time staff members – a major milestone for Seattle DSA. The two staff will help activate our 1,500 members, build in South King County, and ramp up our chapter’s communications and media.

With its multi-racial working class – the need to build the forces of socialism in South King County is clear. Raise the Wage Tukwila winning by 82% showed there is an opening, and we’ve established points of support during the Gallardo campaign.

But to build DSA in South King County will take serious resources.  

Starbucks Workers United invites Seattle DSA to join in a demonstration of strength, solidarity, and celebration of their Union. These workers continue to face union-busting from Corporate shuts down stores and bullies workers that are fighting for their rights and livelihoods. Closing the last store on Capitol Hill leaves workers without a community.

Simply show up at Cal Anderson Park North Side on Friday, December 9 from 3-4 PM.
