Artist in Residence with Dept. of Applied Social Studies, Maynooth University 2023
On behalf of the Dept of Applied Social Studies, Maynooth University and Kildare County Council Arts Service, we invite Expressions of Interest from qualified individuals and organisations to undertake an Artist in Residence project. The deadline for receipt of completed ‘Expressions of Interest’ is 5pm, Wednesday December 14th.

Our Global Youth Work team in association with Irish Aid is delighted to invite applications for our Seed Grants worth up to €400. NYCI welcomes introduction of voter pre-registration for 16 and 17 year olds
We welcome the introduction of new youth-friendly measures which mean 16- and 17-year-olds can pre-register to vote and the majority of voters aged 18 and over can now register to vote online. The Government must go further however, and we are calling for action on the right to vote for 16 and 17 year olds.

** LGBTI+ Youth Leadership Programme

Foróige, with support from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration & Youth, is now accepting applications from young people who may have an interest in getting involved in the LGBTI+ Youth Leadership Programme. Closing date for receipt of applications is 13th December 2022.

Tickets are now on sale for the AsIAm National Autism Conference: "Same Chance: Removing Barriers for Autistic People" on the 4th February 2023 in The Grand Hotel, Malahide. This event marks the return of the annual conference, after the hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Young Environmentalist Awards 2023

ECO-UNESCO is delighted to call on young people between the ages of 10 and 18 to take part in the Young Environmentalist Awards 2023. This is our all-Ireland environmental awards programme that recognises and rewards groups of young people who raise environmental awareness and improve the environment through creating an environmental action project in their youth group, community, or school.

** Children's Rights Alliance

Foróige are now recruiting young people aged 14-18 to be part of the Children and Young People’s Advisory Group (CYPAG). The CYPAG will advise on the consultation process, develop questions and methodology for the research, and review findings from the consultations.

Amnesty Ireland is currently running their week long act-in at the Project Arts Centre - Project Protect Protest. From 5-10 December they are hosting events to inspire campaigners to fight for the right to protest.

** Finglas Youth Resource Strategic Plan 2023-2027

On the 16th November the Finglas Youth Resource Centre launched our new Strategic Plan 2023-2027. They welcomed the Lord Mayor of Dublin Caroline Conroy and Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth Roderic O’Gorman to launch our new Strategic Plan. The official launched was followed by a celebration event for all the young people we work with.

PPMI is carrying out a survey "Added value of microcredentials" targeting students and adult learners as part of the project "The role of micro-credentials in facilitating learning for employment" at the request of the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP).
