American Oversight just uncovered more documents from President Donald Trump’s Ukraine scheme. You can see the documents here.

The pages are heavily redacted, but they show the Trump administration explicitly instructing a key witness not to testify and taking steps to prevent witnesses from providing documents to Congress. So even though some witnesses defied the president’s order, we know there is a backlog of evidence still kept under lock and key.

The documents are the third trove American Oversight has obtained through litigation and many more will be arriving in the weeks and months to come. While Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell works to ensure that the Senate trial will end in an acquittal, it’s important to remember that the public will be the ultimate jury of the culpability of the president and his co-conspirators within and outside the government.

Please consider making a contribution to help us continue fighting to uncover the Ukraine documents the Trump administration doesn’t want the public to see.

American Oversight’s FOIA litigation has been one of the few successful efforts to force the Trump administration to release Ukraine-related documents. The administration has refused to give documents to Congress, and the State Department records we obtained in November were even cited in the House Intelligence Committee’s official report as evidence of obstruction of Congress.

We have six active lawsuits seeking the release of Ukraine-related records from multiple federal agencies — and the next court-ordered deadline is this coming Friday, January 10.
