John,
This summer, when the far-right extremist Supreme Court overturned Roe, it
became apparent that they paved the way to strip away more fundamental
rights — including marriage equality. But, when it comes to our rights,
Cori won’t ever back down.
A few days ago, Congress took an important step in protecting marriage
equality from far-right attacks when the Senate passed the Respect for
Marriage Act. This piece of legislation:
✅ ensures critical protections for same-sex and interracial marriages,
✅ enshrines federal marriage equality,
✅ provides marriage protections at the state level, and;
✅ repeals the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act.
Cori was proud to vote in favor of the Respect for Marriage Act to protect
marriage equality and ensure that people in St. Louis and across the
country can marry whomever they love. Now, she’s ready to do it again and
send this landmark legislation to the President’s desk.
This week, the Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments in 303 Creative LLC
v. Elenis. The outcome of this case could provide a constitutional basis
for businesses to discriminate against the LGBTQIA+ community.
With unrelenting attacks on our rights, we must ensure that we have
leaders like Cori, who continue fighting for all of us. [ [link removed] ]Will you make a
contribution of $5 to help us continue to amplify Cori’s
message that we must protect the rights of our LGBTQIA+ communities?

We cannot allow this far-right extremist Supreme Court to strip another
fundamental right, but when we fight together we can handle anything the
Court throws at us.
In Solidarity,
— Team Cori
