We just had the most expensive Thanksgiving on record. And unfortunately, it doesn’t look like things are getting any better as we head into the Christmas season.

This year, Americans are going to spend a record amount of money simply because everything is just more expensive. As NPR wrote, “near-record inflation has cast a shadow over this year’s holiday shopping season...”
