John — We all know climate denialism and skepticism is a huge problem, but now, a new report from the Climate Action Against Disinformation and Conscious Advertising Network makes it clear that climate denial is on the rise nationally.

The report found that 46% of the U.S. thinks climate change is not caused by humans, and 23% said that they believe it’s all a hoax. It is hard to fathom that there are still those adamantly denying the existential threat of our time, but nearly half of the country is ignoring the facts and buying into climate-denying myths!

It’s no surprise who’s to blame for climate denialism gaining ground. Bad acting-lobbyists, greenwashing advertisements, and disinformation campaigns are seizing this moment when conspiracy theories and disinformation are surging to stoke the fringe fires to fuel their own gains.

Make no mistake: these climate change deniers are only interested in pushing an agenda that rewards Big Fossil while tapping into fear of science and research.
