Hi, it’s Jane Fonda. I wanted to share an important update with you — Senator Joe Manchin’s DIRTY DEAL, which will have significant repercussions in our fight against climate change and undermine the progress we’ve made, is back!

Democrats in Congress are leading efforts to salvage Manchin’s DIRTY DEAL and include it in the National Defense Authorization Act. By attaching this plan to this “must-pass” piece of legislation, they are all but guaranteeing it will be passed if we don’t act now.

The DIRTY DEAL will hollow out crucial environmental protections and fast-track new fossil fuel projects. This might be good for Joe Manchin and his friends in the fossil fuel industry, but is a major setback in the fight to keep fossil fuels in the ground where they belong.
