This week in Washington, lawmakers are expected to debate and vote on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2023. When this legislation first came through the House in July, I resolutely voted against it due to numerous concerns, such as the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional military vaccine mandate and the woke nonsense indoctrination of our service members. As a 28-year Navy combat veteran, I certainly understand and value strengthening our nation’s readiness through bolstering our military’s defense capabilities and investing in our servicemen and women – but I refuse to surrender the future of our country’s military to the radical Left. Currently, I plan to oppose the NDAA unless lawmakers are able to fully eliminate the vaccine mandate — which is severely damaging recruiting and retention, restore all service members forced out due to the current vaccine mandate, and remove unnecessary spending.
Additionally, as mentioned, I look forward to introducing my latest piece of legislation, the Free Speech Defense Act, to eliminate government-by-proxy censorship once and for all. I’m proud to lead the fight in holding Big Tech and the federal government accountable for silencing Americans’ speech, and I’m excited to share more about this crucial bill in the week ahead.
