Her opponent, Kirk Watson, is a former state senator and former Mayor of Austin. Despite Kirk outspending her campaign 4 to 1, Celia is the frontrunner going into the December runoff election, with 40% of the vote to his 35%. Celia is running an extremely competitive race going into this runoff election. She and her team are proving that voters are READY for change with a high-energy, people-powered, and grassroots campaign – but she needs our help.

I am the only candidate in this race who has provided a comprehensive action plan to support the reproductive needs of women and people who can get pregnant in Austin. We can come together with creative solutions to support Austinites in need of abortion, protect patient privacy, increase access to affordable contraception, and support access to sexual health and wellness services and medically-accurate sex education.”
