Friend,

Amazon just announced it will be laying off 20,000 people.(1)

And while those employees will have to look for new jobs in an
increasingly dwindling market, Amazon’s chair, Jeff Bezos, made $10.5
billion in one day last month.(2) And Amazon just announced it will spend
$1 billion a year on movie releases starting next year, entering yet
another market while it puts employees on the street.(3)

Amazon has gotten too big and too out of control. Congress can rein in the
megacorporation, but it’s sitting on critical antitrust legislation with
time running out. And we know that the Republican-controlled House of
Representatives won’t pass anti-monopoly legislation.

antitrust legislation before December 31?

Amazon uses its technology to steal products, manipulate markets, and put
smaller companies out of business.(4)

It also uses its vast power to bust union attempts and illegally fire
workers who attempt to organize.(5)

More than two-thirds of Americans say that corporate monopolies, including
Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google, are a serious concern, so why hasn’t
Congress acted?(6)

Our legislators have had the American Innovation and Choice Act on the
table since the summer, and they have the votes to pass it in the
Senate.(7) It’s up to the House to make it happen -- before Republican
Speaker Kevin McCarthy takes over.

[ [link removed] ]Call your representative and tell them to pass antitrust legislation to
rein in Amazon now!
