Hey, John, today is the Georgia Senate runoff!

The balance of power in the Senate affects us all, so it’s no exaggeration to say that this race is critical. Even today, Joe Manchin is trying to sneak fossil fuel handouts into a bill that the re-election of Reverend Warnock could stop.

So remember, winning Georgia weakens Joe Manchin’s vote. And we can’t let that opportunity pass us.

On Nov. 8th, young people contributed 116,000 net votes to Reverend Warnock who led Walker by just 35,000 votes. By showing up to the polls, we made the runoff possible. Now we're going to win it — but we’ve still got a lot of work to do before the polls close today.

We’ve already called and texted hundreds of thousands of young voters since the runoff was announced. But we still have thousands more to go, and if we can get young people out to vote, we know we’ll win.

In 2020, young people showed up to the polls motivated by combating the climate crisis, protecting reproductive rights, expanding voting rights, and winning a Green New Deal. We helped flip Georgia blue.

Now, we can’t let Herschel Walker and his hate, climate denial and millions of dollars in fossil fuel-backed Super PAC money drag us backwards. And we must seize any opportunity we get to make Joe Manchin irrelevant in the Senate.
