Hi John,
The holiday season is an ideal time to be thankful for what we have, but also to give back to others. When children are hungry, they can’t learn, play or dream. In the United States alone, over 9 million children experience hunger. Combined with the effects of inequality, conflict and poverty, the hunger crisis is getting worse by the day and we’re fed up. Aren’t you?
It’s Time to Get Fed Up and Fundraise to Help Children! [[link removed]]
As you gather with family and friends, think of asking others to donate to help feed hungry children. When asking for donations make sure to share with others why it’s important to you.
Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Host a dinner and encourage your guests to donate. Encourage those attending to make a donation to support childhood nutrition and spark a dialogue about the importance of this issue. Include a fundraising link in your invitation.
Have an end of year company party coming up? Ask if you can set up a donation area at the party with information about the cause and how to donate.
Bake or cook together virtually. Sadly, we know it’s not always possible to come together in-person, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a virtual get together where everyone cooks “together”, chats and raises funds to help hungry children.
