Rev. Raphael Warnock’s victory in the last runoff put the Senate balance
of power at 50-50, with Vice President Kamala Harris’s tie-breaking vote.

But here’s how Rev. Warnock’s victory today, and a 51-49 Senate majority,
would be a major step forward:

If Rev. Warnock wins today, he will give Democrats the majority on every…
single … Senate … committee.

You read that right. For the last two years, Mitch McConnell and Senate
Republicans have used the dead-even divisions on every Senate committee to
stall our progress whenever possible.

With Rev. Warnock’s 51st vote in the Senate, Democrats can rapidly speed
up the pace on passing legislation and conducting processes like judicial
confirmations.

President Biden has appointed 87 federal judges in the last two years.

Donald Trump appointed 234.

Republicans have obtained court rulings overturning Roe v. Wade, blocking
student loan debt relief, and allowing partisan voter suppression and
gerrymandering from conservative judges.

We’ve got major work to do, and it starts with helping Rev. Warnock defeat
Herschel Walker today. It is essential that Senate Democrats have the
majority on their committees so Mitch McConnell cannot block committee
action.
