Comrade,
In Metro D.C. DSA, we’re starting 2020 off by resolving to continue our fight for justice and equity for all in the Washington metro region.
If you’re looking to join us in this fight, then we hope to see you this Sunday, January 12, at the Metro D.C. DSA winter campaigns fair, where local DSA members can connect with chapter campaign organizers – and each other – about our work on a range of issues.
See below for details on the campaigns fair:
- What: Metro D.C. DSA Winter Campaigns Fair
- When: Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM
- Where: The Festival Center, 1640 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC 20009
- Why: To hang out with fellow DSA members, drink hot chocolate, have some snacks, and learn about how to get involved in the work that our chapter is doing to bring economic, social, and racial justice to the D.C. metro region.
- Event Pages: Meetup; Facebook
The campaigns fair will be an open house event without a set agenda, so feel free to come and go as you please. Campaign and working group leads will have tables set up to talk about their work and how to get involved. We’ll have snacks and hot drinks available. Childcare will be provided as well.
Some of the groups that have signed up to table are below:
- Rent Control Working Group
- Publications Working Group
- Ward 4 Electoral Working Group (currently supporting the Janeese Lewis George campaign for the Ward 4 D.C. Council seat)
- DSA for Bernie Sanders Working Group
- Ecosocialist Caucus
- Socialist Night School
- Labor Working Group
- Mckayla Wilkes Working Group
If you have questions about the campaigns fair, or would like to request table space for your working group or campaign, please send an email to the Metro D.C. DSA Steering Committee at [email protected].
We hope you can join us on Sunday!
In Solidarity,
Metro D.C. DSA
