2017-2021 American Community Survey Five-Year Estimates [ [link removed] ]

The American Community Survey (ACS) Five-Year Estimates, set to be released Dec. 8 by 10 a.m. EST, will be available for the nation, all states, the District of Columbia, most county and metropolitan statistical areas, and some places with populations of 65,000 people or more.

The ACS provides a wide range of statistics about the nation’s people and housing such as language spoken at home, education, commuting, employment, mortgage status and rent, income, poverty, and health insurance coverage. It is the only source of local estimates for most of the 40-plus topics it covers.

Join Chuck Brady, Kari Klinedinst and Lynda Lee as they provide an overview about the most comprehensive measure of the U.S. economy, the 2022 Economic Census. Every five years, the U.S. Census Bureau conducts the economic census, which provides industry statistics at the national, state, and local levels. Its data products provide the foundation for other key measures of economic performance. The 2022 Economic Census will be conducted beginning in January 2023.

Census Business Builder Revamped in Version 5.0 [ [link removed] ]

The U.S. Census Bureau recently announced the release of Census Business Builder version 5.0, which combines the Regional Analyst Edition and the Small Business Edition into a single, convenient tool. The newly combined platform has a fresh look and feel with optimized dashboard queries, links that take users directly to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) information, and simplified industry selection lists.

Census Bureau Releases 2021 Rental Housing Finance Survey Summary Tables [ [link removed] ]

Last week, the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released new summary tables for the 2021 Rental Housing Finance Survey (RHFS). The RHFS provides measures of financial, mortgage and property characteristics of U.S. residential properties with at least one housing rental unit. It is the only data source that provides a comprehensive picture of mortgage financing for all types of rental properties.

Household Pulse Survey Phase 3.6 Monthly Data Release [ [link removed] ]

On November 29, the Census Bureau released new data from phase 3.6 of the experimental Household Pulse Survey (HPS). The HPS is an effort by the Census Bureau and other federal statistical agencies to provide near real-time data on how the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in social and economic conditions are affecting people’s lives to inform federal and state response and recovery planning.
