Dear John, 

Two years ago, Americans faced a major decision in the general election, with so much more than just the standard policy issues at stake. Minority groups across the country were called upon to show up and make a statement against White Supremacy, Islamophobia, and xenophobia. American Muslims answered the call, turning out in droves in the 2020 elections and doing our part in changing the course of history. 

Last month, our community continued to play a major role in our democracy but not just by showing up to the polls but by achieving unprecedented success as candidates. The 2022 elections saw the largest number of American Muslims elected to public office.

Tomorrow, all eyes will be on the state of Georgia with the Senate runoff election.

There are nearly 65,000 American Muslims in Georgia, and in November, the top two candidates were separated by less than 40,000 votes. Not only do our votes matter, our community can swing the election tomorrow.     

That is why MPAC is calling on American Muslims in Georgia to make their plan to vote today, and ensure that they fulfill their civic duty and go to the polls tomorrow for the Senate runoff election.

For those that do not live in Georgia, reach out to your friends and family there, encourage them to do their part and vote, and volunteer to phone bank remotely to turn out voters.
