You are receiving this email because you have signed up to be notified when the Regulatory Compliance Division of the Office of the Governor commences a review of a rule or issues a determination letter on a rule under review. Established pursuant to Subchapter C, Chapter 57, Texas Occupations Code, the Regulatory Compliance Division conducts an independent review of certain state agencies? rules that affect market competition to assess their consistency with state policy as clearly articulated by the Legislature in state statute.
The Regulatory Compliance Division has recently issued a determination letter for the following rules:
- Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, Title 43 Texas Administrative Code ??215.133 and 215.140 (RCD Rule Review #2022-012)
The division has approved the proposed rules, which amend the pre-licensing requirements for General Distinguishing Number (GDN) dealers. The approved proposals affect new and renewal dealer applicants and include updates to application requirements and business premises requirements for a dealer to establish a permanent place of business.
