Dear John,
One out of every two members of Congress have previously held office as state legislators. When MAP invests in creating a culture of collaborative governance among young state legislators, we know that effort will have ripple effects throughout our political system.
How do the best state legislators approach their responsibilities and build sustainable coalitions in our fractious political environment? How do they succeed in politics and policymaking? How do they lead and govern?
You’re invited to a special event to explore these questions and more. On December 12th from 12-2pm, the Millennial Action Project will host "Success in the States" along with the Center for Effective Lawmaking, the Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy, and Lyceum Labs. We’ll shine light on how effective state lawmakers lead and discover what the future holds for effective policy making. Join us on December 12th! [[link removed]]
