As we enter one of the most critical election years of our lifetimes, I’m asking you to add your first donation of 2020 to our efforts to take back the Senate. Here’s why:

I first ran for office because I was sick and tired of people like Mitch McConnell holding our government hostage and allowing special interests to run rampant in Washington.

And last year, I saw hundreds of bills that would improve people’s lives die on the Senate floor because McConnell refused to vote on them. Instead of fighting for everyday people like you and me, it’s clear he only cares about his bottom line.

But this year, Democrats have a real chance to take back the Senate and get our government working again.

Major election forecasters are rating more and more competitive races as “toss-ups,” proving Democrats have what it takes to win big. From Mark Kelly in Arizona to Jaime Harrison in South Carolina to Sara Gideon in Maine -- we’re determined to flip these critical seats and take back Washington.

Because of that, however, McConnell and his shady dark money network are doing everything they can to keep their grip on power. They’re writing seven-figure checks to themselves, sending Trump out on the campaign trail, and flooding the airwaves with attacks against vulnerable Democrats.

It’s time we show McConnell and his mega-donors that our government can’t -- and won’t -- be bought.
