We have some big news to share with you today, John!
Lauren was just voted by her colleagues to serve as a co-chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee in the 118th Congress — becoming the first Black woman to join Democratic House leadership in over 30 years.
We couldn’t be more proud or thankful for the incredible work Lauren’s accomplished so far. In her first two terms, she’s proven to be one of the most effective members of Congress. She’s had ten bills signed into law so far, including legislation to lower health care costs for working families, slash prescription drug prices, and help save the lives of moms across the nation.
Lauren’s one of the most promising, bold young leaders in Congress, and we know she’ll continue to lead the fight for our shared values as a member of House leadership.
Our team is putting a card together to congratulate Lauren and cheer her on as she takes on her new role in Democratic House leadership — and we’d love for you to sign on to show your support.
So John, will you join us in congratulating Lauren by signing our card today? It’ll only take a minute, and we know she will love seeing your name on it.
Thanks for taking the time to read this message and sign on today. Your support means the world to Lauren.
Onward,
Team Underwood
