John,
Republican Adam Hinojosa has requested a recount in the Texas
Senate District 27 election.
The Republican Party of Texas is fully supporting the call.
Hinojosa fell behind by a margin of only 569 votes or 0.19% of
the vote total in this critical south Texas Senate seat. Three
counties had high numbers of paper and mail-in ballots, and Adam
has requested they conduct a recount.
SUPPORT ELECTION INTEGRITY
After the many discomforting headlines of election irregularities
in Harris County, we are dedicated to supporting ALL efforts to
verify the accuracy and integrity of elections in Texas.
High rates of paper and
mail-in ballots can easily lead to errors in counting or, even
worse, opportunities for voter fraud. We applaud Adam Hinojosa
for consulting with his supporters, who demanded an honest
recount.
The fight for election integrity continues, and Texas Republicans
need to step up.
STEP UP - ADD YOUR SUPPORT
With our Election Integrity Task Force spread across Texas-from
South Texas to Harris County and up to Dallas-we need your help
to give honest and fair election investigations or recounts a
fighting chance.
We are taking a stand to restore faith in our elections. Will you
stand with us?
