Since Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter, he has welcomed white supremacists
(including Donald Trump) back on the app and fired almost 50% of employees
— including the team that previously monitored and censored hate speech.

Cori has been relentlessly speaking out about Elon's anti-worker business
practices and the danger of this deal, and when Elon made hateful and
false comments about the Ferguson protests.

Cori made sure Elon's comments received the response they deserved. Check

"Elon Musk, leave St. Louis/Ferguson out of your disingenuous, ignorant
pseudo-intellectualism. You don’t know the first thing about our movement.

The last time I checked, not a single person is asking an out-of-touch,
failed businessman, the son of an apartheid benefactor who harvested
emeralds on the backs of Black people in South Africa his thoughts on a
Black-led social movement.

The attacks on our democracy through voter ID laws, ballot roll purges,
and disinformation campaigns are disproportionately threatening Black and
brown voters. We must work toward achieving equity in our government and
ensuring all communities have a voice and vote in our democracy.

Cori will always fight and lift up our movement to save lives. It's so

Elon Musk is a danger to our democracy. Under his leadership, Twitter is
becoming a haven for extremism as several antifascist organizers and
journalists are seeing their accounts suspended. The truth is, this deal
should have never happened.

During a time when everyday Americans are struggling to make rent, put
food on the table, and stay healthy during an ever-changing pandemic, we
need to put power back in the hands of the people — not a select few
billionaires.

Billionaires like Elon Musk exploit our suffering, our labor, and our
system — and increasingly are fighting to consolidate power in their
hands. That's why Cori's working in Congress to tax the rich, take our
wealth back for everyday families, and legislate in favor of workers
unionizing around the country.
