The [American Foundation for Suicide Prevention]([link removed]) (AFSP) and the [American College of Emergency Physicians]([link removed]) (ACEP) will honor three leading experts with the 2022 Innovation in Acute Care Suicide Prevention Award. The award recognizes the leaders of the first pilot of a peer-delivered suicide safety planning program in the emergency department.

Emergency physicians are often in the position of identifying people at risk of suicide and connecting them with treatment resources. That's why it's so important for emergency departments to have safety plans in place for patients. We welcome you to learn more about the winning researchers and the results of this important study.
