Did you see Joe’s email about being all in for Georgia? Tomorrow is Election Day in the U.S. Senate runoff in Georgia. Before I joined the team at Groundwork, I worked three election cycles in Georgia including being on the ground in 2020 during the last Senate runoff when Senator Warnock was first elected. We worked to educate and activate voters and build power through local organizing. Now we are back in another important election moment — the future for the people of Georgia, the future of the country, and the makeup of the Senate and the Democratic agenda for the next two years all hang in the balance. We need to act now.
That’s why I’m bumping Joe’s message from a few days ago with a reminder of how you can help and do your part in the next 24 hours for Georgia and Team Warnock:

Like Joe says, when we work together, we win together — now let’s keep Senator Warnock representing Georgia!

There are only four days left in the runoff election to decide who will represent Georgia in the Senate. With the House officially in GOP hands, the results of this election will be hugely consequential for not only the people of Georgia – but the future of the Senate and our country.
For decades, Georgia was written off as a “red” state, overlooked by national funders who assumed local investments there were a waste of time. You all know the story well by now: Georgia organizers ignored the naysayers, organized their hearts out, year after year after year – and proved conventional wisdom wrong. Now, Georgia is a powerful swing state in the center of the conversation about the direction of the Democratic party and the makeup of the Senate.
Much of Groundwork’s mission came from the example set in Georgia. It provided us the ultimate case study on the power of local leaders and groups organizing in their communities over the long term. Decades of organizing led by the people who knew their state best turned the tide not only for Georgians but for the national landscape. Now, Groundwork is following their lead and trying to replicate that approach in our partner states.
Team, are you ready to do what you can to help Senator Warnock? Here’s a list of how to support him, and Democrats on the ground in Georgia, in the final week before the runoff:
🍑 Call voters in Georgia and get out the vote! Nearly 3 million votes were cast in the general election in Georgia and with over 7 million active voters, there’s no shortage of calls to be made. Sign up to call voters and drive turnout in Tuesday’s runoff! [[link removed]]
🍑 Donate to Movement Voter Project’s Georgia Fund – your donation powers organizers’ efforts to reach voters in Georgia in the final week! [[link removed]]
Senator Warnock knows firsthand that you can’t write off Georgia in a conversation about building power for Democrats in the South. Now it’s on us to step up and support the Warnock team, bring home a win for Senator Warnock and give Senate Democrats the crucial 51st vote.
When we work together, we win together.
