💻 Webinar Today: Methodology Updates for the Vintage 2022 Estimates
The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program recently adapted its methodology for developing the annual population estimates in response to data availability issues stemming from the impact of COVID-19 on 2020 Census operations and other complicating factors. In particular, a "blended base" approach was adopted to create the base population (or starting point) for the post-2020 population estimates. This approach integrates several sources of data into the estimates base, rather than relying strictly on the results of the latest decennial census.
We invite you to learn more about how the blended base and how other elements of the estimates methodology have been updated for the forthcoming Vintage 2022 estimates series.
