Congress is about to vote on legislation to regulate dangerous lab-made chemicals called PFAS and they need to hear from you.¹
Water contamination from PFAS poses a huge public health problem that is affecting communities in every part of the country. Forty-three states have some sort of PFAS contamination!2,3,4
It's been found that long-term exposure to these chemicals has been associated with health problems, including liver malfunction, birth defects, thyroid disease, weakened immunity, and certain cancers.5
These toxic chemicals should be no where near our water — and it’s time our representatives did something about it. Everyone deserves clean water.

PFAS are known as “forever chemicals” because they stay in the soil and water for long periods of time — and do not break down naturally. They are used in every-day materials such as non-stick pans, food packaging, fire suppressants, and stain-resistant fabrics and they are showing up in our food and water.6
The corporations that produce these chemicals the most knew about the dangers of PFAS for decades and suppressed reports about the associated health risks.7
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has long promised to set safety standards and address the widespread contamination caused by PFAS but has failed to do so.8,9,10
The proposed PFAS Action Act would set enforceable regulations to limit the amount PFAS in drinking water AND will hold the biggest polluters accountable to pay for cleaning up the worst contamination.11
