The numbers are hard to fathom. Over the past year:
1,100 rockets were fired at Israel by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza over 3 days, forcing thousands of Israelis into bomb shelters. Thankfully, Iron Dome intercepted 96% of the rockets headed toward populated areas, saving countless lives.
29 Israelis have been killed in a wave of shooting, stabbing, bombing and car ramming attacks. 500 additional terror attacks have been foiled, according to a recent statement by the IDF.
Hezbollah added more than 400 chemical weapons to its stockpile of over 150,000 rockets and missiles. The weapons—missiles armed with toxic thionyl chloride—were transported from Syria into Lebanon last month.
Iran admitted to sending Putin thousands of suicide drones that are being used to bomb Ukraine. In a recent video, Iran also threatened to unleash its drones on Israeli and American targets in the Middle East.
As Israel’s enemies ramped up their aggression this past year, pro-Israel Americans like you worked to ensure Israel had the resources and support needed to keep its citizens safe.
This year, your support helped us worked with Congress to pass a record-setting $4.8 billion in security and missile defense funding for Israel, including $1 billion to replenish Iron Dome.
Congress also passed the Israel Relations Normalization Act to support and expand peace agreements between Israel and its Arab neighbors.
And the Senate overwhelmingly supported a bipartisan campaign to defend Israel from unprecedented discrimination at the U.N. Human Rights Council.
But despite these great strides, Israel's enemies remain determined, and our work to keep Israel safe is far from over.
That is why I hope you will choose to join AIPAC today.
Thank You,
Brian Shankman
