Hello!
Thanks to those of you who joined us for our December meeting! We had a good turnout and it was lovely to see all your faces. If you couldn't make it, we hope to see you at one of our next events.

Click the link above to get full details. Here's a preview of what we discussed:
- Homelessness in Chattanooga - what's happening with the Budgetel and Airport Inn, and how DSA members can help.
- Local organizing - UTC's Fight for 15 is going well. We also got an update on the Starbucks campaign.
- Organizer training - there are several highly recommended trainings coming up in the first quarter of 2023!
- Steering committee - if you've ever wanted to run for the steering committee, now's the time! Elections will be held in January.
A big thank you to the Chattanooga Free Store for hosting us!

We are currently reading No Shortcuts by Jane McAlevey. If you are even remotely interested in learning about organizing by discussing recent examples like the Chicago Teachers' Union, join us on Monday, December 12 at 7:00 pm at Barley! We'll be discussing chapters 3 and 4 (although you do not have to read the book to join).
