In these next couple of days, voters will choose their next U.S. senator from Georgia.

While this Runoff Election won’t decide Senate control, it will decide whether we will continue fighting for progress by re-electing voting rights champion Senator Raphael Warnock, or allow far-right, anti-democracy candidate Herschel Walker to seize power.

And the result of this Runoff Election will determine the strength of our Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate. That’s a big deal for how much we can accomplish — because a 50/50 split hasn’t been cutting it.

The fact is this: After historic voter turnout in 2020 and 2021, anti-democracy politicians ramped up their voter suppression efforts to stop Georgians from making their voices heard. That’s why the governor pushed for his voter suppression bill SB 202 to limit mail-in voting, impose strict voter ID laws, and shorten voting periods. These are exactly the kind of anti-voter policies that Herschel Walker would support, and exactly what a majority of Georgians do not want.

Senator Warnock, on the other hand, has been leading the charge for voting rights protections in the U.S. Senate, advocating for historic legislation like the Freedom to Vote Act. We need leaders like Senator Warnock in power, who will fight voter suppression and work so every eligible voter is able to cast their ballot as seamlessly as possible — because our vote is our voice, and the ability to use our voice is a matter of human dignity.

The choice is clear: We need to re-elect voting rights champion Senator Warnock for another six years. We need to keep Herschel Walker out of office. And we’re working hard to get it done.
