Folks, election forecasters and pundits across the country said we wouldn’t win this race. But once every vote was counted, we won by 4 points against my far-right opponent.

I’m going to talk a little more about this but, before I do, I’m asking you to please chip in to help me keep up the fight in Congress.

Like they did in other parts of the country, the Republican Party nominated one of their most radical candidates to run against me. And in so many toss-up races across the country, similar far-right candidates lost.

Here’s the thing: the GOP leaned hard into supporting candidates who had a history of election denialism and cozying up to Donald Trump – even after he had a rare presidential incumbent loss in the 2020 election. They ran on platforms that were closely aligned to Trump’s and welcomed his endorsement in their races.

What these GOP losses in toss-up districts like mine tell us is that Nevadans (and a majority of Americans) are tired of Republican extremism.

I’m proud to have run a campaign that put Nevadans first. From protecting Social Security and Medicare to fighting for reproductive rights, we spoke to the issues that mattered most in households across NV-03.

Meanwhile, Republicans relied on fear mongering and name-calling to appeal to voters. That’s why when I heard that election forecasters were predicting we’d lose this race, I was shocked.

What this past election has shown is that voters are tired of the fighting and division, the two things that the GOP relied on to win in races like mine.

So, even though the forecasters and pundits were wrong this time around, we can’t become complacent. I need every ounce of support you can give to keep this seat blue.
