John, a new bill that made its way to the House, H. R. 2521,
introduced last year that would increase the amount of care Veteran
mothers and pregnant veterans would receive in the VA.

However, 44 Republicans in the House just voted against this bill.

Some of those members were:

* Jodey Arrington of Texas
* Lauren Boebert of Colorado
* Andrew Clyde of Georgia
* Drew Ferguson of Georgia
* Paul Gosar of Arizona
* Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia
* Jody Hice of Georgia

You’ll notice a pattern of SEVERAL prominent “pro-life” MAGA Republicans
voting down this bill, as well as a good chunk of those from Georgia
voting against it as well.

Georgia has some of the highest maternal death rates in the entire
country. According to several studies, 66 women out of every 100,000 live
births die – with figures increasing in the last few years. Those figures
are almost DOUBLED for Black mothers in the state, meaning they are almost
twice as likely to die as white mothers in Georgia.

This is a devastating issue, with a real need to focus on progressive
legislation that will confront this head-on and fix the gaps in our
healthcare. But given the opportunity to improve the lives of
both VETERANS and MOTHERS, House Republicans vote the bills down based on
party lines – namely, those that align themselves as MAGA Republicans.

With Georgia leading the country in these heartbreaking statistics,
Senator Raphael Warnock was part of an effort that introduced legislation
to tackle this issue.

Senator Warnock saw an issue and joined others to come up with a plan to
fix it. This is what we send people to Congress to do.  Not to vote based
on partisan politics, or repeat everything an individual says, but to
bring forth legislation to improve the lives of the people.

In this case, it is literally life or death, and the MAGA GOP seem to be
okay with women dying during childbirth in their states.

Join us in taking a stand against those that do not seek out relief and
