China Protesters and the White House Panders to the CCP

One of the most dangerous things on this planet is to be a Chinese citizen openly protesting their government. These protestors are BRAVE, have earned our respect, and need our prayers. The hypocrisy of the Biden Administration in this has been glaring. The Biden Administration vows to keep a close watch on Elon Musk for buying Twitter but will not say a word on Apple (an American company) restricting AirDrop for protestors in China. Why does the White House pander to the CCP?

Fighting for America-First Energy Policy

Under Joe Biden and Democrat one-party rule in Congress, we have suffered under America-last energy policy that has led to energy dependence, energy insecurity, weakness on the world stage, and record-high gas prices.

I am fighting to unleash domestic energy production and reverse Joe Biden’s anti-American energy policies that have inflicted so much pain on the American people. It’s time for an American Energy Renaissance utilizing an all-of-the-above energy strategy. Click HERE for more on this.

Our Border is Being Invaded

Border patrol agents anticipate an unprecedented immigration surge at our southern border since Title 42, the Trump-era immigration policy, is set to expire on December 21. The southern border crisis is expected to become exponentially worse when border patrol agents will have no choice but to release virtually everyone into our country once Title 42 is lifted under Biden’s current policies.

I am fighting for a secure southern border and to enforce our immigration laws. Sovereign nations must have secure borders, and our nation is under invasion at the Mexican-American border. To read more about this, click HERE.

As of today, Joe Biden has been in office for 681 days and has not once been to the southern border. How long will he ignore the humanitarian and national security crisis his policies have caused?

Safeguards Against China

Thanks to Whip Steve Scalise’s Secure Equipment Act of 2021, the Federal Communications Commission recently announced new rules banning communications equipment from several Chinese companies from being imported to or sold in the United States to guard against China’s “unacceptable risk to national security.” I was proud to vote for this legislation last year.

While this is a step in the right direction to keep Chinese threats to our national security at bay and protect Americans, this can only accomplish so much with the Biden Administration encouraging the widespread use of Chinese software like TikTok. I will continue fighting for greater cybersecurity protections against China.

The Insanity of a Rush-to-Green Agenda

Switzerland is considering imposing driving bans on electric cars this winter to ensure energy security. This shows how the Left's radical, rush-to-green energy agenda comes with a price. Many EU countries sought to mandate EVs, and as a result of policies phasing out reliable sources of baseload power, the grid can’t support them.

This is insanity, and Democrats want us to go down the same road by pushing policies that phase out oil and gas while simultaneously pushing EV mandates. We should learn from this and look to Europe to see what NOT to do with our energy policy. Click HERE for more information on this. 

Christmastime in Washington

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Capitol, and it's the most wonderful time of the year for Team Duncan! Our South Carolina peach Christmas tree makes our Washington office feel more like home.

Legislative Update

I cosponsored Rep. Ronny Jackson's H.R. 9389, which would restrict the Secretary of Defense from paying for abortion services.

I cosponsored Rep. John Rutherford's H.R. 9373, bipartisan legislation that would prevent the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration (NOAA) from closing fisheries to the public so that anglers have better access to red snapper fishing.

In the District

The Christmas season is in full swing in Laurens County, and in counties across the Third District. From now until Christmas, Laurens County will be hosting Christmas Tree lightings, parades, Christmas markets, and other holiday events. Oconee County non-profits are working to reduce domestic violence through community trainings for people in the community to learn how how to safely intervene in such situations. 

Greenwood dance studio owner Suzy Shaw held an all-inclusive 2022 All Stars program at Emerald City Dance Explosion to give individuals the opportunity to dance who otherwise would not have the opportunity to due o special needs. Self-Regional Healthcare sponsored the program so that no student would have to pay to participate.
