According to a recent survey, about half of Americans will cut back on holiday shopping this year due to rising costs. Congressman Carter speaking with General Chance Saltzman. CALL WITH GENERAL CHANCE SALTZMAN War is now fought on five battlefields: air, land, sea, cyber, and space. It’s important that the United States have a strong presence in all areas to maintain national security and deter foreign adversaries. This week, I had a call with General Chance Saltzman, who serves as the Chief of Space Operations for the United States Space Force. During the call, we discussed current and upcoming Space Force initiatives as well as their recruiting process and numbers. With Republicans taking back the House majority next year, we are focused on supporting our military to keep the homeland safe and conversations like these help me learn more about each branch’s specific needs. CONSTITUENT SERVICES UPDATE As your congressman, one of the most important parts of my job is helping my constituents cut through bureaucratic red tape. In November, my office assisted 211 Central Texas families with issues like back IRS refunds, VA benefits and passport delays. My office returned over $1,055,335 to constituents dealing with issues involving a federal agency. I am here to serve my constituents! If you need assistance with a federal agency, please visit my website. WHAT DO YOU THINK? Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has failed to do his job and secure the southern border. Under his leadership, record numbers of migrants have crossed illegally. Drug trafficking and crime are running rampant. Discussions about impeaching Secretary Mayorkas are ongoing, and I want to know what you think. Take a moment to fill out the survey below. Do you believe DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas should be impeached? Yes No CARTER A-LISTER AWARD Do you know an outstanding student or educator in TX-31?
