Waterkeeper Magazine puts readers on the front lines of the planetary environmental crisis. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Waterkeeper Alliance, we’re showcasing 20 Waterkeeper Warriors over two issues. These amazing women and men are at the heart of a global movement of more than 300 Waterkeeper groups who have dedicated their lives to protecting clean water and irreplaceable water sources for nearly a billion people on six continents.
This issue features the final 10 of our 20 Waterkeeper Warriors; earlier this year, we ran the first 10 profiles ([link removed]) . While choosing just 20 to spotlight was an agonizing task, these Waterkeepers vividly demonstrate the breadth, depth, and spirit of our movement.
