A few weeks ago, Marielena introduced me as the Interim Executive Director of NILC, and now I am working every day alongside our dedicated staff to further our mission: defending and advancing immigrants’ rights.

While I’m new to this role, I am deeply familiar with the work. I have served on NILC’s Board for 10 years, including service as Board Chair and on the Executive Committee. I have known for a long time just how much our impactful work is dependent upon people like you.

• Send 11,023 messages to your members of Congress, urging them to pass a permanent pathway to citizenship
• Call on the Biden administration 22,773 times to end Trump-era border policies and restore access to asylum
• Urge your elected officials 9,953 times to protect and strengthen workers’ rights, access to healthcare, and many more high-priority issues

It’s clear that your indispensable efforts have strengthened our work and will propel us forward into NILC’s new chapter. I am so inspired by the changes that supporters like you have helped us enact, and I know that we will accomplish much more together.
