- With a 51-49 Senate, Democrats can move beyond our power-sharing agreement that evenly splits membership on committees and major panels between Democrats and Senators. Instead, a true Democratic majority will control those committees.
- That increased control will pave the way for a more efficient legislative process to execute our agenda, including allowing Democrats to hire more staff and call more witnesses than our Republican counterparts in hearings.
- With a true majority in the Senate, Democrats can spend the next two years moving President Biden’s judicial nominees smoothly through the confirmation process, including in the event that we must fill a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court.
