Virginia is for lovers – and Senators Warner and Kaine made history this past week as the Senate took the first steps towards enshrining in federal law the right of all Americans to marry who they love.

The Respect for Marriage Act ensures that all states must recognize marriages between same-sex couples, protecting LGBTQ rights against any potential assaults from the GOP-led Supreme Court.

The fight to protect the rights of our LGBTQ neighbors is far from over – but Democrats like Senators Warner and Kaine are stepping up to protect these rights. Can we count on you to chip in and help continue the hard, necessary work to preserve these critical civil rights?
