Hi John,

The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) brings together researchers, clinical practitioners, advocacy groups, and patients to discuss the latest and emerging breast cancer research and practices.

Our team will be in attendance from December 6th to the 10th, with a critical mindset, patient-centered framework, and most importantly, on behalf of people living with and at risk of breast cancer. We’ll be tuning in to sessions, debates, and workshops that focus on therapeutic practices, drugs and clinical trials, big data and health equity, challenging types of breast cancer, and the intersectional impact of breast cancer treatments on patients.

We will be listening and participating to learn about recent research breakthroughs in the quality of care that breast cancer professionals are providing, and whether the drugs pushed by pharmaceutical companies are effective, accessible, and affordable.
To prepare for our upcoming analysis of the sessions, we’re releasing some of our foundational resources. We’ve updated the following trusted fact sheets:  For those who are planning to attend, we encourage you to have these fact sheets handy, and read our blog posts from previous years, including our 2021 analysis.

Throughout this week we’ll be dropping rapid responses on Twitter at @BCAction, so follow us here to stay up-to-date. Following the conference, we’ll post our critical analysis on our website.

As always, we will continue to use our independent, watchdog voice on behalf of people living with and at risk of breast cancer to focus on the systemic issues and tackle the root causes of breast cancer.

In solidarity,
