Dear Friend,
I hope you've had a chance to catch your breath, enjoy some time with family and friends, and just get out and think about something other than politics -- at least for a little while. It's important for all of us to step back from time to time and refuel our tanks, especially after such an intense and tough election cycle.
While we're looking back and reflecting on the lessons learned, we're ready to move forward. We worked with a remarkable group of women this cycle, and for a number of them, this will not be their last time running for office. We had 61 women elected to positions in state and local government, many of them first-time candidates. That's an incredible accomplishment, especially given the current political climate.
Ruth's List was founded on the idea that early support is the key to successful campaigns. We raised and invested a record amount of money in our candidates, and now we need to build back so that we're ready for the next cycle. We're already making endorsements for 2023, and the number of candidates we can support depends on how much we can raise from friends like you. So as you're thinking through your holiday gift list, I hope you'll think of us. A Ruth's List membership is the perfect way to honor a special woman in your life -- and is a gift that gives back.
We are beyond grateful for your support this year. None of this would be possible without you. Thank you for believing in the power of women! Onward, |

Florida legislators were sworn into office last week, including 29 Ruth's List endorsed candidates in the House and Senate!
We are thrilled to see Senator Lauren Book reelected as Senate Democratic Leader. In the House, Representative Fentrice Driskell was officially elected as House Minority Leader, the first Black woman to serve in the role. |

|
Also appointed to House leadership: Rep. Dotie Joseph was named Leader Pro Tempore; Rep. Kelly Skidmore is the new Democratic Policy Chair; and
Rep. Christine Hunschofsky is the Democratic Whip. |

Ruth's List Regional Chapters showed up in force this election cycle! With 40 days of action for our candidates and 300 volunteers, we were able to make over 1,000 phone calls and knock on nearly 10,000 doors! Many of our competitive races were won by hundreds of votes -- which is why this work truly matters. Kudos to each and every one of our regional chapter leaders and dedicated volunteers! |
