There’s a lot going on this week, so I’m going to try to keep it brief. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Douglas County Parade! It felt great to have such a big showing in an area that is getting Bluer by the day. Also, thank you to everyone who joined us for Santana Days in Alamosa! There’s a lot of energy coming out of these mountain/rural districts and we are ready to tap into that energy to flip the Senate.
Be sure to follow Lorena on Brother Jeff’s Facebook Live Stream, Monday, August 5th from 2-3pm. Next week, Lorena heads to Minnesota for her Victory Fund training. Thank you so much to everyone who supported her and made this training possible!
Now to get down to business. We’re building up our social media presence and we need all hands on deck. Below, we’ve outlined some steps you can take to promote Lorena via social media and increase her exposure across all platforms:
1. On Facebook, your engagement with likes is great, but here's how to assist Lorena in taking this to the next level:
a. Instead of hitting "like," use the "love" or "wow" button. The Facebook algorithm favors these two reactions most.
b. Comment on posts! Ask a question, say "same," something to build comments on the post up.
c. And of course: SHARE Lorena's posts! Especially help us out by sharing the posts which contain a link to the Act Blue fundraising page.
2. Instagram: your engagement counts most when it's done in the first hour that Lorena's posted it. Set your IG to notify you when Lorena posts and hit that sweet like button.
To turn on notifications: Go to Lorena For Senate profile, click the ‘Following’ button, click ‘Notifications’, then select turn on notifications for posts
3. Twitter: retweet and reply to Lorena's tweets. Also: watch for our Twitter events.
