NAFCU sends congressional leaders 2020 priorities [ [link removed] ]
NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger this week sent the association's 2020 priorities directly to congressional leadership and members of both the Senate and House. The letter – addressed to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. – shared NAFCU's just-released priorities as Congress returns for the second session of the 116th Congress.

Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance remains on the NCUA's supervisory priorities for 2020, with examiners focusing on customer due diligence (CDD) and beneficial ownership requirements. In addition, examiners will discuss credit unions' plans to implement the current expected credit loss (CECL) standard as institutions now have an additional year to comply.
NCUA releases 2020 operating fee schedule [ [link removed] ]
The NCUA – in a letter to credit unions Monday – announced the operating fee schedule for 2020. The fee scale has been raised 1.13 percent due to the Overhead Transfer Rate (OTR) level and changes in the NCUA's capital investment program.
