Here are a few things you help fund:

• Our Movement Gathering

  • Next week, Sunrise is bringing hundreds of movement leaders together for an in-person National Movement Gathering in Dallas! Our Gathering will be a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come in the past three years and celebrate our wins. We’ll also get aligned on our shared strategies for 2023 and beyond, train a new class of young climate organizers, and talk through the direction of our movement as we prepare for the next era of Sunrise.

• Green New Deal for Schools

  • Starting in January, the Green New Deal for Schools campaign will organize and develop the leadership of thousands of students in 20 different high schools/colleges across the country to win tangible change in their institutions and be badass youth moral voices for a Green New Deal. This campaign will give students a chance to hone their organizing skills at the local level before they take on larger and more ambitious campaigns. 

• Green New Deal for Communities Hub Program

  • Also starting in January 2023, this 12 week program will give hub leaders (from more than 500 hubs) coaching support as they prepare to launch their 2023 campaigns and build community with leaders across the country.

  • Your support helps us make sure every attendee and their hub will receive the resources they need to launch their campaigns and grow their hubs. 

• Principle 6 Program

  • The Principle 6 Program is a financial support program that offers a stipend to poor and working class leaders and members of the movement who otherwise would not be able to organize with us. Your contributions toward this program makes sure that Sunrisers are not limited in their ability to hold leadership positions within the movement and organize their communities due to their financial situations.
